TBETHS recognized this whole structure (continuing up Scarborough Road and along Kingston Road) as architecturally and historically significant - 2019 Nomination to Heritage Preservation Service - but the City of Toronto has been slow to grant official protection to such gems. Heritage Planning staff and Councillor Brad Bradford have been alerted about the situation and our petitions should reinforce to them that community cares about its heritage.

The Beach and East Toronto Historical Society (TBETHS) was established in 1974 to foster and promote interest in the social, cultural and architectural history of the area.

The area is from Coxwell Avenue to Victoria Park Avenue and from Lake Ontario north to the old boundary between the former City of Toronto and the Borough of East York.
